Tell us what is happening where you are.
We are a small newsroom covering a community spread across two countries. Most of what matters to kababayan never reaches a newsroom at all — it happens in a workplace, a rental, a group chat or a parish hall, and nobody writes it down. If you send it to us, we will read it.

Write for us
Opinion, a first-person account, or reporting from your city. You do not need to be a journalist and it does not need to be polished — if the story is there, we will work on the writing with you.
- What we most want: the thing you cannot believe nobody has written about.
- Roughly 600–1,000 words is a comfortable length. Shorter is fine.
- Write in English or Taglish, whichever the story sounds right in.
- Tell us who you are and where you are writing from. We can publish under a first name or a pseudonym if being named would put your visa, your job or your family at risk — say so and we will talk about it before anything runs.

List a community event
Fiestas, association meetings, consulate outreach days, fundraisers, sports, church events, graduations. Free for community events — we do not charge kababayan organisations to be visible to their own community.
- Send it at least a week ahead if you can. We will still take late ones.
- We need: what, when, where, who it is for, and whether it costs anything.
- A contact we can check details with, even if it is not published.
- Commercial events and businesses can be listed as paid promotions, labelled as such on the page. Ask us about rates.

Send a tip
A scam going around the group chats, an employer underpaying, an agent charging for something that should be free, a service that has quietly stopped answering. Tips are how most of our scam coverage starts.
- You do not have to be certain. Tell us what you saw and we will do the checking.
- Screenshots help enormously — of the message, the ad, the payslip, the invoice. Attach them to the email.
- We will never publish your name, workplace or visa status without asking you first, and we will not name you at all if you ask us not to.
- We cannot recover money, act for you, or contact anyone on your behalf. If money has already moved, ring your bank’s fraud line first — the number is on the back of your card — and report it to Scamwatch.

Pitch a podcast
We carry shows across the network — some we make, some are made by other people in the community. If you already have a show, or you have wanted to start one, tell us about it.
- Tell us what the show is, who it is for, and how often you can realistically make it. Honest cadence beats ambitious cadence.
- If it already exists, send the feed link and a couple of episodes you are proud of.
- We disclose on every show whether the voice is a person or synthetic, so tell us which yours is.

Tell us we got it wrong
Corrections on this site are dated and permanent. We do not quietly edit a page that was wrong. If you have found an error, this is the fastest way to get it fixed.
- Send the link and what is wrong with it. That is all we need to start.
- If our response does not satisfy you, the publisher is bound by the Australian Press Council, which takes complaints about us directly and free of charge.

What happens after you send something. A person reads it — there is no queue robot. We try to reply within a few days, and we will tell you plainly if we are not going to run it rather than leaving you wondering.
We do not currently pay for contributions. We would rather say that here than let you find out at the end.
